FUN LINE DANCE

We raise money for Vision unpaired people.

We have run the 46 miles at the Prudential  Ride on the 4th August and so far we raised £175 for the charity “Croydon Vision” please be generous  Thank you.

We did it!

The ride was great fun, we had lots of support from the crowd and other cyclists, as a tandem people find it unusual and we also had some rock n roll music playing from the front basket! It was a fantastic experience we chatted to other tandem riders who were also Metroblindsport members!.

We did the 46 miles in 4 hours and a bit, we had to stop a few times to massage our sore legs, but we were very proud to never  put our foot down to walk up a hill , not even up to Wimbledon village! And of course you can image the thrill riding down to Putney Bridge!

The best part was that because we had to train to take part and be a bit fitter , we were in some ways forced to go out  with our tandem to prepare, this took us to lovely places out in the countryside in Kent and Surrey, and we even did a ride along a canal in France, I am not sure we would have done all that had we not known that we were doing the Prudential Ride!

We hope to keep it up and have many more adventures on our tandem!
